Jalan Facial Spa Re-Opening Saturday, February 6th

Re-Opening February 6th

Last week we announced a temporary closure at Jalan Facial Spa after two employees who were asymptomatic tested positive for COVID-19. We immediately cancelled appointments, closed the spa, sent staff home to self-isolate, and conducted contact tracing to personally reach out to all guests who were potentially impacted. Since the beginning of the pandemic last spring, we have gone above and beyond recommended standards for COVID-19 safety and precautions.

It has been almost a full year of struggle for many small businesses trying to stay afloat during the pandemic. Some businesses haven’t disclosed outbreaks (defined as any business with two or more cases within the same 2-week period) to customers, or in some cases don’t support their staff with paid sick leave, regular testing, or other preventative measures.

At Jalan, we’re putting safety, transparency, and trust first so you can rest assured that we’re doing everything possible to maintain a safe environment for you as our guest as well as our staff. We believe this is the best path, the responsible way to manage through this pandemic, and key to our values of being trustworthy and transparent.

As we prepare to re-open on Saturday, February 6th, we wanted to take a moment to reiterate all the steps we’re taking to ensure guest and staff safety.

Our COVID-19 Safety & Precautions

Safety Starts With Staff

Since last spring, we have taken the following steps to help promote safety starting with our staff by:

  • Paying for staff to get tested for COVID-19 bi-weekly

  • Paying staff for their time to get tested

  • Offering paid sick leave and sending staff home if they are feeling unwell

  • Staff have been double-masking or wearing a mask with a face shield. You may have seen more of this lately in the news as a measure to go even further than the protections of a single mask alone. Given we work with guests in close proximity, we’ve been taking steps to be as safe as possible.

Booking Now Live From Feb. 6th

Booking is now available beginning Saturday, February 6th. We’ll be open 9AM - 7:30PM seven days a week, at 25% capacity, so we recommend booking your appointments in advance in order to secure your desired time. We are working with the Colorado Department of Public Health & Environment on their 5-star certification program to allow us to expand capacity to 50% in the near future, and we will announce when we are able to open more availability.

We appreciate all of your support this past year, every review that helps spread the word about Jalan and our efforts to maintain a safe and relaxing spa experience. Thank you!

Note: You may see a “For Sale” sign outside of the spa. Don’t worry! Jalan isn’t going anywhere. The owner of our building is putting it up for sale but we intend to stay at this location through any ownership change. We look forward to welcoming you to the spa for many years to come.
