Specialty: I love performing Gua Sha. Just a few minutes of simple gua sha action everyday can have a major impact on skin’s tone, texture, and overall appearance.
Favorite spa service at Jalan and why: Our Advanced Facial is my favorite service to perform and personally receive at Jalan. I enjoy using an aggressive exfoliation to help with overall skin clarity. As noted above, we perform a gua sha massage leaving your skin glowing. This service is perfect for all skin types and concerns.
Favorite product that you use and why: Jurlique’s Skin Balancing Face Oil. I grew up in Colorado's dry, harsh climate and struggled keeping my skin hydrated.
Active ingredients: This specific product is packed full of rosehip, jojoba, macadamia, and avocado oil, which helps protect your skin from moisture loss.
Benefits: You can add a few drops into your existing moisturizer to "beef" it up or use it alone. After the first application, you will never go back to just a regular cream based moisturizer.
Results: It also doubles as a makeup fix to the over powdery look that we dry skin gals may tend to have.
At-home skincare tip: Don't exfoliate more than once a week, especially living in Colorado. Most clients come in thinking that exfoliating is going to be the one thing that keeps your skin clear and supple. Instead, you are depleting your skin and causing it to actually age faster. Let an esthetician help you choose which exfoliation works best for your specific skin type and concerns.
Why did you become an esthetician? I have always had a passion for skin care. Becoming an esthetician started when I had skin care concerns as a teenager. After realizing there was actual science behind taking care of our skin, I wanted to educate others. Every client — and their skin — gives me a unique opportunity to help them and make them feel great.
